CastleWood Tree Top Adventure – TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. General
1.1. These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to the booking of the CastleWood Tree Top Adventure (CWTTA) High Ropes Course No variation to these Booking Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing by Blair’s Holiday Parks
1.3. These Booking Terms and Conditions contain important information concerning participation by you and members of your party and, as such, you acknowledge and agree that you shall ensure that all members of your party are aware of and accept these Booking Terms and Conditions.
1.4. CWTTA reserves the right to make changes to their activities.
1.5. Any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in any booking confirmation or other documentation issued by CWTTA (including any electronic documentation) shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of CWTTA
1.6. “Activities” relates to all high ropes CWTTA activity
2. Safety
2.1. There are some inherent risks associated with high ropes and high nets activities. CWTTA may be physically and emotionally challenging. All participants will receive appropriate instruction from an instructor prior to commencing the activities. By participating, you are agreeing to comply with the rules set out in our safety briefing and safety signs.
2.2. CWTTA reserve the right to refuse admittance to the Activities or to remove a participant from the Activities should it deem necessary to do so. This includes a participant who does not comply with the safety rules and advice or who is deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. CWTTA operates a strict NO ALCOHOL or drugs policy on High Ropes Course site and anyone thought to be affected will not be allowed to participate.
2.3. All participants must be reasonably fit and healthy and comply with the age and weight restrictions on the relevant equipment. For all activities, there is a maximum weight of 120Kg and please be aware we might ask visitors to step on the scales.
2.4. The Activities may be physically demanding and require a degree of agility, strength and stamina. If participants are in any doubt as to whether they should attempt the Activities they are advised to view the Courses before booking. If participants have medical concerns they are advised to consult their doctor in advance. Participants will be required to certify that they do not suffer from any medical condition which would make it more likely that they would be involved in any incident which could result in injury to themselves or others (including pregnancy).
2.5. All participants are required to act responsibly and courteously at all times and to respect other participants. CWTTA is entitled to prevent any person from undertaking or completing the Activities in the event of unsuitable behaviour by a participant.
2.6. Participants must be dressed appropriately (see clause 5) and CWTTA reserves the right to refuse admittance to the High Ropes Course by any participant who is not appropriately dressed.
2.7. The Activities will remain open in most weather conditions (but not in gales, lightning, heavy ice or snow).
2.8. No refunds or compensation will be payable by CWTTA in the event that any participant is not permitted to, or decides not to, undertake or complete the Activities for the reasons set out in this clause.
2.9 If participating on the high ropes course, you must agree to wear the harness whilst participating in the activities and you must not remove the safety lanyard from the harness or from the connection with the safety trolley provided, or tamper with any of the safety equipment.
3. Booking Confirmation
3.1. No booking shall be deemed to have been accepted unless accepted in writing by CWTTA (this shall include CWTTA email confirmation of booking).
3.2. These Booking Terms and Conditions incorporate a CWTTA Acknowledgement of Risk Form. You and each member of your party over the age of 16 will be required to sign the Acknowledgement of Risk Form before being allowed to undertake the Activities Those under the age of 18 shall only be permitted to partake if the CWTTA consent form is signed by a parent or legal guardian
3.3. You must advise CWTTA as soon as possible of any mistake in booking confirmation. CWTTA shall take reasonable care to ensure that your and your party’s session commences at the time booked and it shall be the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they arrive in sufficient time. Late arrivals may not be permitted to undertake the High Ropes Course and no refunds or compensation will be payable in such circumstances.
3.4. Group Bookings (A party of 10 or more individuals) is subject to additional terms in Section 9.
4. Cancellations
4.1. You can move the activity date (subject to availability) up to 48 hours prior to your activity. A refund is not possible within the 7-day period before your activity date. Please contact us on reception@castlewoodtreetopadventure.com or call 02894580585
You can cancel and receive a full refund (minus a £5 administration fee) up to 7 days prior to your activity. Please contact us on 02894580585 with your booking reference.
4.2. CWTTA shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time. In the event that CWTTA decides to cancel your booking it will use reasonable measures to notify you as soon as possible. You shall be entitled to a full refund in the event of cancellation under this clause but no other compensation will be payable.
4.3. In the event that it proves necessary to close the High Ropes Activity for reasons beyond the control of CWTTA and in circumstances where your party has commenced participation in the Activities, you shall not be entitled to any refund (in part or in whole). In such circumstances CWTTA may, but will not be obliged to, offer alternative dates or times at no additional cost.
4.4. Group Bookings (A party of 10 or more individuals) is subject to additional terms in Section 9.
5. Clothing
5.1. It will be the responsibility of all participants to ensure that they are dressed appropriately and CWTTA advises participants to wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and which they do not mind being damaged. In particular, the following restrictions will apply:
5.1.1. Participants may not undertake the Activities in sandals or unlaced shoes (training shoes or walking boots are advised)
5.1.2. Long hair must be tied back
5.1.3. Scarves are not permitted to be worn. Participants must ensure that nothing is tied or pinned across the throat; sports hijabs or single-loop underscarves are a safer alternative
5.1.4. Jewellery and body piercings must be removed or taped over
5.2. CWTTA will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of clothing or other personal items of persons resulting from participation in the Activities
6. Price and Payment
6.1. Subject to any terms agreed in writing between CWTTA and you, our charges will be calculated at our current rates and payment in full shall be due at the time of booking. Payment may be made by debit or credit card either on line or by telephoning the booking line: 02894580585
6.2. Prices are subject to change
7. Refunds
Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card
8. Liabilities
8.1. Except as otherwise provided in these Booking Terms and Conditions CWTTA shall not be responsible for the loss or damage to any property or to any person arising from the booking of or participation in the Activities.
8.2. Parking facilities are available at the site, and any vehicle and its contents is left at the owner’s risk.
8.3 . Nothing contained in these Booking Terms and Conditions is intended to nor shall limit the liability of CWTTA in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of CWTTA or of its employees, agents or contractors.
9. Group Bookings
9.1. A party of 10 or more individuals will constitute a group booking and will be subject to the following additional terms.
9.2. All payments must be made in full before the activities begin. Special arrangements can be negotiated where purchase orders/invoices are to be generated, payment by BACS, debit card or cheque must be made within 30 days of the date the invoice was issued.
9.3. We require 14 days’ notice for any drop in numbers or cancellations, a group cancelling or drop in numbers within 14 days of the activity will be charged in full.
9.5. If a discounted price is offered this is based on group size and date given. Should you reduce your group size at any time prior to the event your booking will be re-priced accordingly and further charges may apply.
9.6. If your reserved participant numbers do not attend the activity total cost will still apply. Extra participants may be added subject to availability and additional costs.
9.7. Changing course or activity dates will result on an administration fee of £25 being charged and this is always at the discretion of CWTTA
10. Gift Voucher Terms and Conditions
10.1. Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
10.2. If your chosen Activity value is more than your voucher amount, you will be required to pay the difference. If the voucher value is more than your Activity, the difference will not be refunded and cannot be applied to a separate booking.
10.3. All vouchers are valid 2 years from the date of purchase and cannot be use after their expiry date. Therefore, we advise pre-booking online to avoid disappointment.
10.4. Vouchers bought for a specific activity are only valid for the activity stated on the voucher
11. Miscellaneous
11.1. If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall endure, remain in full force and continue to be binding and enforceable.
11.2. Nothing above shall confer on any third party any benefit or the right to enforce any of these Booking Terms and Conditions.
11.3. These Booking Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland.
